Projects India Program

In addition to semester India and short term study abroad programs, IISAC has created a system that encourages US students to involve in projects, independent research, internships and community services by living in Kerala. This will allow the students to experience the culture, people and traditions of India through direct involvement. To this end, IISAC has developed partnership with leading organizations in Kerala. Kerala, known as God’s Own Country is a state on the southwest tip of the Indian peninsula and it has followed a developmental pattern of its own. With quality of life indices’ comparable with that of several European countries, the state has sparked interest in many economists and sociologists around the world. Kerala also has several art forms peculiar to the region. Kerala’s evolution over the years has made it a model state and a fascinating case study; its inimitable natural beauty and tropical biodiversity has created an exceptional destination for travelers around the globe.

Students may spend a minimum of one month in IISAC’s affiliated institutions in Kerala to partake in an internship or research. The best time to start the program is immediately after your short term or Semester in India studies.
