Pondicherry University completed its new Foreign Students Hostel in June 2006. This hostel provides a huge facility for foreign students to utilize in order to meet their specialized needs. Each student is housed in a large, fully furnished twin-sharing bedroom with attached bathroom. The hostel itself provides a variety of facilities including:
- Kitchen equipped with cooking facilities and cookware
- Entertainment room with cable television and recreational activities
- Laundry room with washer
- Computer with broadband Internet access
- Telephone
- Air-conditioning
